"Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee: And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed." ---- Gen. 12:1-3
Thank you for visiting my blog! It's good to 'meet' you.
We've been using the Agave for a long time now (along with other sweeteners), since I'm diabetic and needed sweeteners other than sugar. I've been rather pleased, as well.
Thank you for your birthday greeting! I like birthdays ... no matter how old I get. I am so thankful to God for giving me another year. Isn't He wonderful!
Bless you, Sally

Hello, my dear Compassionate Lady!! So good to hear from you! :-)
Yes, I've been aware of the controversy over Agave. I think I've even heard something about it being like corn syrup? (was that Mercola?) Or something like that. I'll go check out the sites you gave me. I'm very familiar with Mercola. I've only recently come to know RawFood. But I haven't read their stuff about Agave. I was hoping, since they (the Xagave people) spoke about the process being different on the Xagave site, that they weren't producing the same thing. I really need to go read more about it. But until I can afford to get more of the other truly safe sweeteners (like Lakanto from the Body Ecology site) I will have to go with the others that I can afford.
Thank you for giving me a heads up on this, though. And thank you for your comment! :-)
I am a head-covering conservative Christian Biblicist that embraces the whole counsel of God, meaning every word of the Old Testament and the New Testament. We have come to love learning about and keeping the Biblical feasts and Sabbath. I am loving wife to my wonderful husband and adoring mother to a talented and beautiful young woman. We home schooled all our children and I loved that, as well. Our last child is a child no longer, having graduated at 15 and she is now a grown woman of nearly 21. We live on our farm with our little menagerie of sheep, cattle (no cattle now, they are all butchered!), chickens, guineas, my daughter's horses - and not forgetting our beautiful sheep-dog Fly. I love to sew and cook, though now I am cooking gluten-free which is invigorating and very rewarding. I pray to be able to serve and encourage my family for many years to come and I intend to serve my Lord to the utmost.

We've been using agave for probably a year or so and are very pleased with the results!
Happy Birthday!Glad to read it was an exceptional day for you!
Agave nectar might not be as good for you as people think. I recently read up on it a bit, since so many people seem to be into it.
It's actually not natural or organic.
A couple articles I've come across talking more about it:

Just something for you to think about :-D
